Job description

We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Marketing Manager to lead and grow our presence on bol.com. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing all marketing activities related to bol.com, driving traffic, increasing conversion, and growing revenue through effective brand and performance marketing strategies. 

You’ll work closely with the E-commerce, Sales, and Product teams to ensure alignment across all bol.com initiatives and help position our products competitively within the marketplace. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies tailored for bol.com to drive traffic, conversion, and sales. 

  • Manage and optimize product content, images, descriptions, and pricing to ensure top visibility and ranking. 

  • Coordinate with the bol.com platform for campaign participation, deals, and promotions. 

  • Analyze sales performance, marketing ROI, customer behavior, and market trends specific to bol.com. 

  • Monitor and optimize advertising campaigns (e.g., Sponsored Products, Display Ads) within bol.com. 

  • Collaborate with supply chain and category managers to ensure product availability and stock levels. 

  • Ensure brand consistency and quality standards across all listings and marketing materials on bol.com. 

  • Stay up to date with bol.com platform changes, tools, and best practices. 

Job requirements

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, E-commerce, or a related field. 

  • 1 year of experience in a similar marketing or e-commerce role, preferably with experience managing bol.com or other marketplaces. 

  • Strong understanding of online marketplaces, especially bol.com’s platform, advertising tools, and backend systems. 

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to draw insights from performance data. 

  • Experience with marketplace advertising (e.g., Sponsored Products). 

  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch, English is a strong plus. 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally with different teams. 

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in e-Commerce or consumer goods 

  • Familiarity with marketplace tools like Channable, Marktmentor a.o. 

  • Understanding of SEO and content optimization for marketplaces
