Packaging DTP Designer

Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Packaging DTP Designer to join our team. You’ll be responsible for the execution, preparation and finalisation of packaging artworks and product manuals, ensuring all files are accurate, production-ready and compliant with print and supplier requirements.

You’ll play a key role in the production phase after design approval, translating creative concepts into correct, high-quality artwork files. This includes working with dielines, colour profiles, embellishment layers, barcodes, QR codes and legal elements, while maintaining the integrity of the original design.

This role requires a strong eye for detail, a structured and practical mindset, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment. You’ll manage multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate closely with designers, traffic coordinators, project managers and quality teams to ensure a smooth and accurate transition from concept approval to final production.

What do you need?

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a DTP or production design role, preferably within retail or FMCG.

• Proven experience preparing print-ready packaging artwork.

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).

• Strong experience working with dielines, packaging templates and production artwork.

• Experience assembling content from multiple sources into structured documents or artwork files.

• Solid understanding of packaging legislation, iconography, barcodes, QR codes and compliance requirements.

• Good knowledge of prepress, offset printing and digital printing processes.

• Experience in fast-paced retail or FMCG production environments.

• Experience using automation tools or plugins within Adobe (such as scripts, actions or AI-based tools) to improve workflow efficiency.

• Consistent and accurate in file preparation and delivery.

• Strong communication skills, comfortable working with both creative and technical teams.
