Job description
Are you a creative maker who loves designing and bringing new ideas to life? Do you enjoy working with miniatures, puzzles, and hands-on craft projects? If so, we’d love to have you on our Hobby Team!
We're looking for a Developer-Designer to help dream up, design, and develop fun and exciting miniature houses, wooden puzzles, DIY craft kits, and other hobby products. In this role, you'll get to mix art and engineering, turning ideas into real, physical products that hobby lovers will enjoy
What You’ll Do
· Design new miniature houses and hobby kits that are beautiful, functional, easy to put together, and patent-free.
· Be the first contact with suppliers arrange, check, and approve sample models to ensure top quality.
· Team up with manufacturers and suppliers to choose the best materials and make sure production runs smoothly.
· Explore new ideas by visiting craft stores, fairs, and exhibitions to see the latest trends and materials.
· Recommend the best materials for each project, balancing quality, cost, and creativity.
· Collaborate with designers, engineers, and marketing teams to bring fresh, exciting ideas to life.
· Make sure products are safe and easy to use by following material and safety guidelines.
· Stay creative and curious always looking for the next big trend in DIY, crafting, and model-making.
Job requirements
What You’ll Need
· Experience in designing fun, hands-on products like miniature houses, puzzles, hobby kits, or DIY crafts.
· Basic knowledge of laser-cutting and 3D printing (no need to be an expert, but experience helps!).
· A good understanding of materials like wood, acrylic, plastic, paperboard, and metal.
· A sharp eye for detail, creativity, and problem-solving.
· The ability to turn a cool idea into something that can actually be made and sold.
· A passion for miniatures, crafting, and hands-on creative projects!
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have!)
· Some experience with graphic design tools like Photoshop or Illustrator (for packaging or branding).
· Interest in moving parts (great for making interactive models or kinetic puzzles).
· Knowledge of patents and product uniqueness (to help make one-of-a-kind designs).
