You will play a key role, connecting purchasing, sales, logistics, design, marketing, quality, and our manufacturers. Together with your colleagues in China, you will be the main point of contact for our Chinese manufacturers.


Job overview:

  • Project management of purchase projects.
  • Handling purchasing orders and the associated deadlines.
  • Responsible for creating and sending out new orders to suppliers.
  • Monitoring product quality, in collaboration with our quality control department.
  • Coordinating internal processes between the departments Quality Control, Design, Sales, Logistic and Finance.
  • Planning kick-off meetings with all the departments and monitoring the progress.
  • Internal point of contact for questions about assortments, prices, and other article information.
  • Monitoring and updating data management systems like Business Central, MondayApp and Notion.
  • Coordinate and label incoming and outgoing product samples.
  • Checking and approving logistic information with supplier.
  • Identifying trends to promote new product developments.

Job requirements

To be successful in this position, you are precise, critical and take initiative when necessary. You are full of energy and only stop when you have achieved the desired result.

In addition, you have:

  • Bachelor thinking and working level.
  • At least two years of experience in a similar position.
  • Nice to have: Experience in working with Chinese suppliers/manufacturers.
  • Passion for product development and purchase.
  • Problem solving mind set. You don’t see a problem, only solutions.
  • Multitasking is a piece of cake.
  • A purchasing process has no secrets for you.
  • Strong proficiency in both spoken and written English; Dutch is a plus but not required.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
