Due to expansion, we are looking for a Technical Manager whose responsibility will be to ensure the quality of our electronic products and processes. Together with the Quality team (Head of Quality, Technical Managers and Technologists) you will work closely with the colleagues from Product Management and our team in China. You ensure that all our products comply with the legal requirements and follow the development of laws and regulations within the product groups in which Karsten International is active. In addition, you optimize quality processes, perform risk analyses, and give advice to your colleagues.
Your activities
· Assess items on safety and legislation.
· Being in contact with suppliers, evaluate social compliance and environmental requirements for factories.
· You will be responsible for ensuring product safety for electronic items.
· Handling customer complaints, authority requests and recalls.
· Keep your knowledge about legislation up to date while sharing your knowledge with your coworkers.
· Analyze and improve internal processes.
· Responsible for the technical files.
· Leading, training and supporting the junior members of the team.
Job requirements
Job requirements
· 3+ years' experience in quality assurance or in a similar environment or a lab.
· A Bachelor's degree in a related subject
· Excellent knowledge of EU legislation for nonfood items.
· You preferably have experience with customer portals such as impact buying (i.e., SIM, TÜV, Amfori etc.)
· Experience BRC or management systems is a pre.
· Setting up and implementing quality processes.
· Previous experience in product-safety legislation.
· Good language skills in English.
